Meanwhile, it is no longer so easy to find the time to build instruments for my studio. But… with this guitar, I succeeded.
Two special features make this guitar something special.

First, the rust finish, which Adam Rafferty named “Soho.” This is because his crossover guitar reminds him of his old home in NY, and especially of the Soho district with its many old, rusty steel buildings.
Secondly, the pickup. Udo Roesner, always looking for improvements, has developed a pickup that works with a symmetrical piezo sensor. This makes it possible to work without a preamp in the guitar. This means that the symmetrical signal is sent via a stereo jack cable into a foot pedal (preamp, DI box, etc.). In this box, the two signals are inverted again, which cancels out all the noise that the cable always catches (like an antenna). The result is an interference-free signal, which, in addition, is not only clean but also sounds wonderful.

This quint guitar was created at the request of the Delta Guitar Quartet. The plan was to play a piece with a quintuple guitar, a terz guitar, a guitar in standard tuning, and a quint bass guitar, which was specially composed for this lineup by Freya Arde, and is now also available to see and hear in a video.
A little special feature… The backs of these guitars are made from a single piece of wood, which is very rare to find, and they are three pieces that were cut directly next to each other from the tree. Siblings in the truest sense of the word.

Because these three guitars (almost) came into being in one go, and were specifically built for a quartet, I would be even more pleased if they could remain together as a “family.” I would also offer a family discount!

This guitar is part of a prototype series from the time before I became self-employed – a period in which I was still developing my own style in guitar making.
The previous owner has sadly passed away, and his heirs would now like to place the instrument in the hands of a musician who will truly appreciate its value.

This guitar was built by Reinhard Bogner.
Reinhard completed his training as a luthier in my workshop and made this instrument at the end of his apprenticeship.
